During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jeremy Damaris Foundation took swift action to support families facing economic hardship. Through the 2020 COVID Food Donation project, we reached over 10,000 families, delivering essential food supplies to help them get through this difficult time. Each family received:
- 4 packets of 2kg unga (maize flour) – a staple in Kenyan households, providing sustenance and energy.
- 1 kg of ndengu (green grams) – a rich source of protein and essential nutrients.
- Cooking oil – a crucial ingredient for meal preparation.
By providing these vital supplies, we aimed to alleviate some of the immediate challenges faced by families affected by the pandemic, ensuring they had access to nutritious meals during a period of great uncertainty.
