Chege, a hardworking man from Gatundu, and his family  were living in a humble house built from stones but held together only by mud — a fragile home that was a danger waiting to collapse. Lacking the funds to purchase cement, the family had made it with the little they had, hoping for a better future.

Their fortunes changed when Jeremy Damaris, a dedicated philanthropist and CEO of KDM  visited Chege’s home. Moved by their story, Jeremy shared their plight to well-wishers, sparking a wave of generosity within the community.

Thanks to the outpouring of support, the family was gifted a sturdy three-bedroom house constructed with quality materials. Not only that, they also received furniture to furnish their new home and a shop, which will become a source of steady income for sustaining their livelihood.

The handover ceremony was attended by hundreds of people who had come to witness God’s doing firsthand, celebrating the remarkable transformation together.

This life-changing event elevated Chege’s standing in the community — a symbol of resilience and hope. Chege is now affectionately known as “Chege the Boss,” a testament to his renewed dignity and the power of collective goodwill.
